Harold E. Jr. Loring

Harold Everett Loring, Jr., a resident of Norwood, died Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Golden Living Center in Dedham.  He was 68.  Harold was born February 3, 1949 in Norwood, a son of Thelma Irene (Russell), and Harold E. Loring Sr.  He retired in 2014 from his occupation as an elevator technician; working for both Otis and Delta Elevator companies.  Harold was a member of the Norwood Elks, and enjoyed golfing, fishing, and boating.  At his core however he remained an engineer in everything he undertook.  He was the brother of the late Kenneth Russell Loring, and is survived by his two sons, Edward R. Loring, and his wife Patricia A., of Norwood, and Jeffrey A. Loring of Norton; as well as his three grandchildren, Madison, Colin, and Melissa Loring.  He is also survived by his former wives, Donna (Robinson) Metcalf of Taunton and Joanne (Flynn) Menice of Florida.  Visiting hours will be held Thursday, October 19th from 4 to 8 pm at the Folsom & May Funeral Home, 85 Nichols Street, Norwood.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Friday, October 20th at 10 am at the funeral home followed by interment in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
