Harold Buckner Williams, a resident of Boston for over 20 years, died Saturday, July 24, 2010 at the Winchester Hospital in Winchester, MA after a brief illness. He was 61. Harold was born November 11, 1948 in Memphis, Tennessee. After graduating from High School he enlisted in the US Army and served a three year term, with one year spent in Vietnam. After the service harold worked as a musician and played piano in many clubs in downtown Boston. He is survived by his daughter, LeAndra Gillis of California; his brother, Anthony Williams of Boston; his three sisters, D’Jaris Williams of California, Bettye Jarrett, and her husband Jimmie, of Roslindale, and Cynthia Williams of New Jersey; and his very close friends, Cheri Sullivan of Arizona, Linda Reed of Brockton, Paul Gagne of Reading, and Kym Crenshaw of California. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Thursday, July 29th, 2010 at 11 AM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 63 Belgrade Avenue, Roslindale. Harold’s burial will be held at 2 PM Thursday at the National Cemetery in Bourne with Military Honors.
