George Panagos

Westwood resident George Panagos died Monday, August 5, 2013 at his home after a brief illness.  He was 85.  George was born October 10, 1927 in Piraeus, Greece, the only son of Demetri and Magdalini Panagos.  George was the owner and operator of his own construction company.  He was the brother of the late Helen and Ula.  George is survived by his wife, Panagiota “Bertha” (Koskoris) and the father of Jim Panagos of Westwood and Christine O’Brien of New York City. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, August 7, 2013 from 4-8 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 63 Belgrade Avenue, Roslindale.  Relatives and friends will gather at the funeral home Thursday at 10 AM and proceed to St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church, 39 Belgrade Avenue, Roslindale for George’s funeral service at 11 ‘o clock.  Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston.
