George Henry Dunn, a longtime Dedham resident, died Friday, July 12, 2019 at his home in Dedham. He was 87. George was born in Boston, the only son of Robert and Mary (Mcauley) Dunn.  He was a graduate of English High School in Boston, and Northeastern University in Boston. He enlisted in the US Marine Corps in 1947 and served as a sergeant from 1950 until 1952, seven months of that time in Korea. George worked as a scale model builder for Stone & Webster in Sudbury.  He was an avid mountain climber, who especially enjoyed the peaks of New Hampshire including Mount Washington.  George is survived by his wife, Frances A. (Cosenzo); his daughter, Elizabeth A. Dunn of Hawaii; his son, Stephen J. Dunn, and his wife Anne, of Kingston; his sister, Rita Farmer, of Cannes, France; and was the proud Grampy of Sarah and Matthew Dunn. He was the brother of the late Master Gunnery Sgt USMC Robert Dunn, the late Staff Sgt USMC Paul Dunn, and the late James Dunn USMC.  Services and interment in the National Cemetery at Bourne will be private.
