Genevieve H. Yakimowski

Genevieve “Jennie” H. Yakimowski , a resident of Dedham, died on March 24, 2012 at the age of 93.  Born in Lowell, Massachusetts to the late Leewon  Ignatowicz and Josephine Rose (Tomkin).  She was the devote wife of the late Walter S. Yakimowski.  He adoringly called her “Cupcake”.  Together they also lived in Hyde Park, Mattapan and Rockland before moving to Dedham.  Jennie was the loving mother of Mary E. Yakimowski of Tolland, CT and Josephine R. Yakimowski of Dedham.  She is also survived by her sister Mary C. DiCicco of Rockland as well as many nieces and nephews.  Funeral services and burial were private.   Donations in Jennie’s memory may be made to VNA Care Network & Hospice, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA  01608.
