Gail L. Hadley

Gail Lillian (Somes) Hadley, a resident of Norwood died Thursday, May 27, 2021 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Needham.  She was 86.  Gail was born December 2, 1934 in Boston, Massachusetts, a daughter of  Robert and Gertrude (Porter) Somes. She graduated from the New England Deaconess School of Nursing with the Class of 1955. Gail was a life master bridge player and a life long knitter. She crafted many exquisite pieces over the years. You were considered special if you were a recipient of one of her many master pieces. Gail is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Osborne Bruce Hadley; her two dedicated children, Bruce Robert, and his wife Lisa Joye, of Easton and Pamela Joy, and her partner Scott, of West Roxbury; her two grandchildren Elizabeth Joy and Bruce Johnathan; her sister Carol, and her husband Sam Clark, of Spotsylvania Virginia; as well as many loving friends, neighbors, nieces and nephews. Gail was he sister of the late Roberta Somes. A special thanks to Alex, Karen, Mike, Janet, David & Lolo.   Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, June 1st from 4 to 7 pm at the Folsom & May Funeral Home, 85 Nichols Street, Norwood.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Wednesday at 10 am at the First Baptist Church, 71 Bond Street, Norwood followed by interment in Highland Cemetery, Norwood.
