Evelyn V. Hermanson

Evelyn Virginia Hermanson, a longtime resident of Taunton, died Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at the Hellenic Nursing Home in Canton.  She was 93.  Evelyn was born November 1, 1923 in Dedham, Massachusetts, the only daughter of Ellis F. and Victoria (Nelson) Hermanson, immigrants from Sweden.  She attended Dedham schools and graduated from Dedham High School.  Evelyn worked for 40 years at the John Hancock Insurance Company in Boston until her retirement in 1983.  She lived in Florida and North Carolina for seven years until moving back to Taunton in 1990.  Evelyn volunteered at the Morton Hospital in Taunton.  She was the sister of the late Albert Hermanson and the late William A. Hermanson, and is survived by a nephew, Bradley Hermanson of Florida and her dear friend Cindy Guerra of Milton.  Interment was in Brookdale Cemetery in Dedham.
