Eugene Joseph Londergan, a longtime resident of Dedham, died Friday, March 7, 2025 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Needham after a brief illness. He was 82. Gene was born December 4, 1942, one of the seven children of Patrick and Genevieve (Reska) Londergan. Gene was a graduate of Don Bosco High School in Boston and started his career as an auto mechanic for Boch Oldsmobile in Norwood. Gene worked as a truck driver for Dedham Wholesale Tire company for 23 years until his retirement. Eugene enjoyed fresh water fishing and watching movies.
Eugene was the husband of the late Lillian Gertrude (Holmes) Londergan who predeceased him in 2007. He is survived by his three sons, Christopher J. Londergan, and his wife Karen, of Dedham, Gene A. Londergan, and his wife Robyn, of Norton, and Eric S. Londergan of Jamaica Plain; his two daughters, Trina L. Ouellette, and her husband Randall, of Canton, and Tammy J. Carrara, and her husband Jeffery, of Mansfield; His brother, Richard Londergan of Florida; as well as 10 grandchildren Scott, Randall Kyle,Adam,Anthony ,Brynne, Cassie,Hayden, Averee, and the late Adeline He was the brother of the late Joseph Londergan, Frances Noonan, Shirley Stone, Mary MacDonald, and Dorothy Aleo.
Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, March 11th from 5 to 8 pm at the Folsom Funeral Home, 649 High Street, WESTWOOD. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Wednesday, March 12th at 10 am at the funeral home followed by interment in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton. In lieu of flowers donations to the Bi-County Collaborative, 111 Robbins Road, Walpole, MA 02081 in memory of Adeline Carrara would be appreciated.
