Ethel M. Beurman

Ethel Marie (Ward) Beurman, a resident of Dedham since 1960, and formerly of Dorchester, died Tuesday, November 24th, 2009 at her home in Dedham after a long illness.  She was 76.  Ethel was born in Boston on December 3, 1932, a daughter of Matthew and Mary (Albright) Ward.  She attended St. Matthew Elementary School in Boston and graduated from Cathedral High School in Boston.  Ethel worked for 20 years as an Administrative Assistant at the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office until her retirement in 1994.  She is the wife of Donald F. Beurman Sr. and the mother of Deborah M. Keegan, and her husband John, of Canton, Laura Beurman-Ellison, and her husband Evert, of Needham, Donald F. Beurman Jr., and his wife Cynthia, of Weymouth, and Christopher M. Beurman, and his wife Cheri, of North Oxford.  Ethel was the sister of George Ward and Margaret DeGraan, both of Braintree, and the grandmother of Kathleen Keegan, and Curtis, Skyla, Jordyn, and Brooke Beurman.  Visiting hours will be held Friday from 4-8 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 649 High Street (Route 109), Westwood.  Relatives and friends will gather at the funeral home Saturday at 9 AM and proceed to St. Denis Church, 157 Washington St (Route 1A), Westwood at 10 o clock.  Burial will follow in Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree.
