Elaine M. O’Rourke

Elaine Margaret (Buttlar) O’Rourke, a resident of Plainville for the past 8 years, and formerly a longtime resident of Dedham, died Saturday, May 23, 2015 at her home in Plainville.  She was 78.  Elaine was born December 19, 1936 in Dedham, Massachusetts, a daughter of John Buttlar and Katherine (Weitz) Buttlar Flanagan.  She graduated from the Henry O. Peabody High School in Norwood and worked for over 35 years as a cash office manager for Stop & Shop Food Stores throughout Norfolk County.  Elaine was a devoted mother, grandmother and aunt who also enjoyed travelling and gardening.  She was also one of the surviving members of the Forget Me Nots, a group of her friends from her younger years.  Elaine was the wife of the late Felix M. Iarocci, and of the late John O’Rourke.  She is survived by her daughter, Christine T. Iarocci of Attleboro; her three sons, David F. Iarocci of Plainville, Daniel T. Iarocci, and his wife Amy, of Plainville, and Thomas M. Iarocci, and his wife Janet, of Franklin; and her sister, Marjorie Floyd of Walpole.  She was the loving grandmother of Mason, Kristin, Michael, David, Domenic, Stacey, and Zachary, and the dear aunt of Kathy Ann, George, and Michael.  Visiting hours will be held Thursday, May 28th from 4 to 7 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham.  Services and interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers donations in her memory to the Make A Wish Foundation, 1 Bullfinch Place, Suite 201, Boston, MA 02114 would be appreciated.
