Edward Karl Kiessling of East Walpole, suddenly, Jan 23, 2015.  Son of the late Robert Karl and Elizabeth M. (Etzdorf) Kiessling.  Beloved husband of the late Harriet (Gullich) and Caroline (Taber) Kiessling.  Loving father of Elaine Bevivino, and her husband Perry, of York, PA, and Edward Kiessling Jr. of Plainville.  Proud Papa of Kyle Kiessling and Joey Bevivino.  Also survived by his brother Robert, and his wife Joan, of West Roxbury, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.  Brother-in-law of Barbara Sargent of Scituate, and the late Catherine Williams of Charleston, SC.  Ed grew up in “The Manor”  section of Dedham and graduated from Boston Trade School in 1952.  He worked for over 30 years at Northrop Corporation in Norwood, mainly in the Logistics Department.  He was a 49 year member of the First Congregational  Church in Norwood and served on many boards and committees of the church.  Those who attended the annual church fair always knew they would find Ed working in the kitchen.  Ed was a proud Mason, a member of both Azure and Orient Lodges, and a Past Master of Orient Lodge.  He belonged to the Scottish Rite and to Aleppo Temple Shrine.  He was a volunteer for over 20 years at the Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Boston where he currently held the position of assistant director of volunteers.  Ed will be remembered for his integrity, compassion, gentle nature, sense of humor, and especially for his dedication to his family and friends.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visiting hours Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM at the May Funeral Home, 85 Nichols St, Norwood with a Masonic Service at 8 o clock.  Funeral Services Thursday at 11 AM at the First Congregational Church in Norwood.  In lieu of flowers donations to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 51 Blossom St., Boston, MA 02114 or to the First Congregational Church of Norwood, 100 Winter St., Norwood, MA 02062 would be appreciated.
