Edith A. Buck

Edith Alice (Llewellyn) Buck, a longtime resident of Norwood, died Saturday, September 24, 2016 at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.  She was 87.  Edith was born May 22, 1929 in Revere, Massachusetts, the daughter of Charles E. and Florence (Freeburn) Llewellyn.  She attended secretarial school and worked for over 20 years in the Norwood Town Clerk’s Office, retiring in 2014.  Edith was the wife of Jean W. Buck and the mother of Warren Buck, and his wife Beth, of Ocala, Florida, Lorraine Giargiari, and her husband Danny, of Ashland, Alison Lovett, and her husband Jim, of Tuftonboro, New Hampshire, and Carolyn Buck of Cambridge.  She is also survived by her brother, Charles Llewellyn of New Jersey, and seven grandchildren.  Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Folsom & May Funeral Home, 85 Nichols Street, Norwood.  Edith’s funeral service, conducted by the Reverend Kevin Smith of the United Church of Norwood will be held Wednesday, September 28th at 10 am at the funeral home followed by interment in Highland Cemetery in Norwood.
