Edeltraud “Trudie” Johnson

Edeltraud (Knekties) Johnson, a former resident of Norwood, Sudbury, and Natick, died Sunday, November 18, 2018 at the Timothy Daniels House in Holliston.  She was 82.  Trudie was born May 24, 1936 in Rucken, Germany, the daughter of Paul and Elvira (Neuman) Knekties.  She owned and operated Trudies Beauty Shop for 25 years until her retirement in 1994.  Trudy was the mother of Paul Arthur Johnson of Natick, Lawrence Roy Johnson, and his wife Josephine, of Raynham, and the late Judith Ann Johnson; the grandmother of Amanda Miller, and Kenneth Johnson; the great grandmother of Anthony and Luke; and the sister of the late Siegfried Knekties, and the late Irmgard Murray.  Visiting hours will be Friday, November 23rd from 8 am to 10 am at the Folsom and May Funeral Home, 85 Nichols Street, Norwood followed by her funeral service at 10:30 at the First Congregational Church, 100 Winter Street, Norwood.  Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery, Norwood.  In lieu of flowers donations to the Animal Rescue League, 55 Anna’s Place, Dedham, MA 02026 would be appreciated.
