Dorothy E. Beers

Dorothy E. “Betty” Beers (McSeveney), a longtime resident of Dedham died on January 26 at the age of 83. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late William McSeveney and Rachel (Martin). Mrs. Beers was a graduate of Dedham High School, Class of 1944. She was a previous employee of the Eastwood Nursing Home in Dedham, (now known as The Golden Living Center) for 9 years as a certified nursing assistant. The beloved wife of the late Frank L. Beers and loving mother of Susan A. Guptill of Tampa, FL. Dear grandmother of Charles “Skipper” and his wife Stacey DiStefano, as well as Dori and her husband Jamie Maloney. Also survived by 3 greatgrandchildren, Tyler Maloney, Owen Maloney and Dylan DiStefano. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Friday at 11:00 am at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton St.,Dedham. Burial will be in the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Boston. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 5 to 9PM.
