Doris R. (Dietzel) Toneatti, formerly of Doggett Circle in Dedham, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014 at the Harrington House in Walpole at the age of 88. Doris was born on January 19, 1926 in Dedham, Massachusetts, one of the four children of George and Laura (Miller) Dietzel. She grew up in Dedham, and was employed at Scholastic Jewlers in Boston, then worked at Rustcraft in the art department for twenty-six years, until the company moved out of Massachusetts. Doris had a great love of children. She spent two years as a nanny, and worked for ten years for St’ Luke’s Preschool where she was lovingly known as “Mrs T”.
Doris was the loving mother of Gary R. Toneatti of Maine and the dear sister of Marilyn Stivaletta of New York, the late George E. Dietzel, and the late Kenneth C. Dietzel. She is also survived by 1 granddaughter and 1 great grandson.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 11 AM at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 950 East St., Dedham. Interment is private. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, May 9, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton St., Dedham.
