Dominic J. Bacci

Dominic Joseph Bacci, of Canton, died Thursday, February 19, 2015 at the Baypointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brockton.  He was 89.  Dominic was born November 18, 1925 in Boston, Massachusetts, the son of Pietro and Winifred (McGuinness) Iacobacci.  During World War Two he served as a Seaman Second Class aboard the NTS Sampson, the USS LST 375, and the USS California.  He served in the European, African, and Middle Eastern Theatres.  Dominic worked as a maintenance man for the City of Boston until his retirement in 1987.  He was the brother of the late Paul Bacci of Milton and is survived by his sister, Winifred Harn, of Norwood; his brother, Thomas Bacci of Medford; and many nieces and nephews.  Dominic’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, February 23, 2015 at 11:30 AM at St. Timothy’s Church, Nichols Street, Norwood followed by burial with military honors at the National Cemetery at Bourne at 2:30 PM.
