Carol L. Packard

Carol Lillian (MacKenney) Packard, a resident of Mansfield, and formerly of Westwood, died Sunday, August 12, 2o18 at the Ellis Nursing Home in Norwood.  She was 89. Carol was born January 23, 1929 in Norwood, Massachusetts, the daughter of Carl Russell and Lillian (Letts) MacKenney.  She graduated Westwood High School with the Class of 1946 and worked as the Office Manager for the Westwood Insurance Agency in Westwood for 20 years until the Agency was sold and moved out of Westwood.  Carol was a former member of the Westwood Garden Club, and an active member of the First Baptist Church in Westwood and the Church’s Crafters Guild.  She was the wife for 60 years of the late Herbert Alston Packard who predeceased her in 2013; the mother of the late Douglas S. Packard; and the sister of the late Lois Johnson.  Carol is survived by her son, Steven E. Packard of Foxboro; and her sister, Janice Partridge of Norwood; as well as 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.  A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 11 am at the First Baptist Church of Westwood.  In lieu of flowers donations to the Memorial fund of the First Baptist Church, 808 High Street, Westwood, MA 02090 would be appreciated.
