Barbara Jean (Ollis) Springston, a resident of Bellingham for 42 years, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at the Milford Hospital in Milford, Massachusetts. She was 68. Barbara was born February 4, 1945 in Boston, Massachusetts, one of the three daughters of Mathias I. and Ruth M. Creed) Ollis. She grew up in Roslindale, graduated from Roslindale High School, and attended Boston State College. Barabara was an interior designer who ran her own shop, the Medfield Fabric Shop, for ten years before working for the Fabric Place i Framingham for 17 years until her retirement in 2007. She enjoyed puzzles, reading, knitting, stained glass, and her dog peneuche. Barbara is survived by her husband, Jackson A. Springston Jr; her daughter, Kimberly A. Springston of Bellingham; her three sons, Tom, Robert A., and his wife Traci Springston, and Christopher M., and his wife Lisa , all of Bellingham; her two sisters, Elisabeth R. Ollis of West Roxbury, and Christine M, Ollis of Dedham; and her four grandchildren, Andrew M., Matthew C., Daniel G. and Jonathan R. Springston. Visiting hours will be held Thursday, April 4th from 4 to 8 PM a the Folsom Funeral Home, 649 High Street, Westwood. Relatives and friends will gather at the funeral home Friday at 8 AM and proceed to St. Susanna’s Church, 262 Needham Street, Dedham for her Mass of Christian Burial at 9 o clock. Burial will be in the Gardens at Gethsemane Cemetery in West Roxbury. Donations in Barbara’s memory to Pulmonary Rehabilitation – Milford Regional Healthcare Foundation, 14 Prospect Street, Milford, MA 01757 would be appreciated.
