He was 78. “Owl” as he was known to his childhood friends, was born on November 20, 1941 in Boston, Massachusetts. The son of Philip and Clara (Carlucci) LaMonica. After high school, his family moved to Dedham where he was inducted in to the US Army in 1960. Tony served honorably until his discharge in 1962.
