Allan Joseph Jansky, of Hyde Park, died Saturday, January 10, 2015 at the West Roxbury Veteran’s Administration Hospital.  He was 83.  Allan was born October 25, 1931 in Roxbury, Massachusetts, a son of Henry and Mary (Locke) Jansky.  He was inducted in the Army during the Korean War and spent a year as a machine gunner in Company L of the 17th Infantry Regiment.  Allan was awarded the Purple Heart for injuries sustained as a result of action with enemy forces, and the Korean Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars.  He was honorably discharged in 1954.   Allan worked as a machinist for Anderson Power until his retirement in 1993.  Allan is survived by his wife of 64 years, June Virginia (Culbert) Jansky; his son, Allan Jansky, and his wife Anita, of Saugus; his daughter, Linda Fortier, and her husband John, of Foxboro; his granddaughter, Linsey Fortier; and his brother John Jansky.  He was the brother of the late Henry Jansky, and the late Paul Jansky.  Visiting hours will be held Saturday from 2 to 5 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 5 PM.  After cremation private interment will be in the National Cemetery at Bourne.  Donations in Allan’s memory to the Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinatti, Ohio 45250, attn Gift Processing, would be appreciated.
