Alice Irene (MacLeod) Folsom, a resident of Oak Point in Middleborough, and formerly of Sharon and Dedham, died Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at the Apple Rehab Center in Mystic, Connecticut. She was 80. Alice was born November 25, 1932 in Quincy, Massachusetts, a daughter of Alexander R. and Annie (McKay) MacLeod. She was a graduate of Roslindale High School and worked as a secretary for the Mass Indemnity and Life Insurance Company and as a company cashier for Rustcraft Greeting Card Company for six years until Rustcraft closed their Dedham corporate office. Alice was a member of the Coast Guard Auxilliary, and a member of the Roslindale Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and of Stoughton Chapter #168 of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was the wife of the late Earl Wilfred Folsom Jr and the sister of the late Elaine P. McCorrison. She is survived by her brother, A. Roderick MacLeod Jr. of Tucker, Georgia, and several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held Sunday, Jan 20th from 2 to 4 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham followed by her funeral service in the funeral home at 4 ‘o clock. After cremation Alice will be buried at Forest Hills Cemetery in Boston. In lieu of flowers donations to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 51 Blossom Street, Boston, MA 02114 would be appreciated.
