Adeline Winifred Obuchon, a resident of Sharon for the past 4 years, but formerly of Canton for 54 years, died Sunday, May 6, 2012 at the Norwood Hospital in Norwood. She was 89. Adeline was born November 8, 1922 in Hyde Park, Massachusetts, the only daughter of William F. and Mildred Inez (Leland) Cox. She started working for the Canton Cooperative Bank as a teller and over the course of her 30 year career with them, moved up to Assistant Treasurer. Adeline was a member of the Ladies Aide Society and active member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Dedham. She was the wife of the late George O. Obuchon and the sister of the late George Cox. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara E. and her husband Daniel D. Harrington of Walpole, her son, George C. and his wife A. Jay Obuchon of Plymouth, Mass, and four grandchildren Matthew Obuchon, Leigh Flaherty, Beth Harrington and Jonathan Harrington. Private interment was in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 9 am. In lieu of flowers donations in Adeline’s memory may be made to the St. Luke Lutheran Church Preschool, 950 East Street, Dedham, MA 02026 would be appreciated.
