Doukas, Clara M.
Clara Margaret (Tosi) Doukas, a resident of Benchmark Senior Living in Norwood, and formerly a resident of West Roxbury, died Monday, May 17, 2021 at her home in Norwood. She was 86. Clara was born October 11, 1934 in Boston, Massachusetts, one of the three daughters of John and Elisabetta (Berardi) Tosi, immigrants from Italy. She graduated from Roxbury Memorial High School and worked as a Technical Supervisor for the Poloroid Corporation, first in Norwood, and later in Waltham. Clara was the wife of the late Theodore Doukas who predeceased her in 2011. She is survived by her two sons, George C. Doukas, and his wife Leigh, of Needham, and John T. Doukas, and his wife Nora of Encinitas, California; her two sisters, Anita Schuster of Holbrook, and Theresa Barra of Arlington; her two grandchildren, Matthew Doukas, and his wife Caitlin, and Melanie Farber, and her husband Sam; and her great granddaughter Elizabeth Grace Doukas; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited attend her funeral Friday, May 21, 2021 at Noon at St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church, 39 Belgrade Avenue, Roslindale followed by interment in Mount Hope Cemetery, Boston. Donations to the American Parkinson’s Disease Association, 72 East Concord Street, C3, Boston, MA 02118 would be appreciated.
Dear George, Leigh and Family, Please accept our sincere sympathy for the loss of your mother. All of you will be remembered in our prayers. Memories will keep her alive in your hearts.
My Aunt was a loving, happy ray of sunshine whenever we saw her. We will miss her. Her cooking and personality was positive and caring. Rest In Peace.
