Johnson, James J.J.
James J.J. Johnson of East Dedham, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2020 at the age of 60. Jim was the beloved father of Haillie R., and James N. Johnson and the devoted son of Jacqueline Kiely Kohut. He was predeceased by his father, Hendrick R. Johnson and his stepfather, Richard P. Kohut. He was the loving brother of Diane Thornton of Foxboro, Jay Johnson, and his wife Eileen, of Dedham, and Lynda May Nelson of Dedham. Jim was the cherished uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews. Family and friends, it is with great sadness and with heavy hearts, we inform you about the passing of your friend, Jim “J.J.” Johnson. While we are saddened and filled with grief, we know that Jim would want us to celebrate his life with nothing but stories, laughter, and NASCAR racing! Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers, as we go through the upcoming days and weeks, coping with his passing. In Lieu of flowers, please take a moment and pay it forward to someone you don’t know. The next person you meet, offer them a kind word, nice gesture or a good deed. Jim was such a social person, and he would want nothing more than to see the people he loved, remember him with a fond heart. Burial will be in accord with up to date social distancing regulations. Johnsons, Kileys, all,
My deepest condolences to you on JJs passing. To his children, as you get older, you will understand what his kindness and good natured manner meant to EVERYONE he came across. You were and are loved very much. A father, a son, a brother, a cousin, he was all these things but perhaps more importantly, he was our FRIEND who never seemed to have a bad day. He was infectious with his smile, a laugh you can never “unhear” just an all around “good guy” and I am very happy that I knew him. I wish you all peace and comfort in time. Someone wrote “he always made it home” and that is true. He made sure that we “made it home” as well.
Dear Jackie and family, I am so saddened to hear of your loss of J.J. I’m praying your loving memories comfort you in the days ahead. With My deepest sympathy, Bonnie
