Joan was a wonderful lady with a very bright spirit. I used to talk to her all the time when she still worked at the VA in Needham, as she was the contact person who ordered the coffee. I also visited her several times last year at the Scandinavian Living Center when her brother Bill and sister-in-law Verna used to visit her on Sundays. Joan was an erudite person who knew a lot about a lot of things. She will be missed.
