Cos, Theresa A.
Theresa Agnes (Brennan) Cos, a resident of Highland Glen in Westwood, and formerly of Medfield, died Thursday, October 31, 2019 at her home in Westwood. She was 93. Theresa was born January 25, 1926 in the Bronx neighborhood of New York City, the youngest of the nine children of Andrew and Anna (Curran) Brennan. After high school she took secretarial courses in prepare her for employment at Maritime College in New York and at Yankee Films. She also worked as a public stenographer and a notary. She was a voracious reader, especially enjoying mysteries; she loved crossword puzzles; and she could frequently be found playing solitaire on her kindle. Theresa also enjoyed the activities and fellowship she found at the Medfield Council on Aging. She was the wife of the late Grant Alexander Cos, and is survived by her daughter, Christine Cos of Westwood; her two sons, Grant C. Cos, and his wife Jennifer, of Rochester, New York, and James A. Cos, and his wife Cecelia, of Danbury, Connecticut; her four granddaughters, Phoebe K. Cos, Sophia N. Cos, Alexandra Cos, and Gabriella Cos; and her sister, Marlene Cox of Bayview, New Jersey. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Mass Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 10 am at St. Margaret Mary Church, 845 High Street, Westwood. Interment will be at a later date in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Danbury, Connecticut. In lieu of flowers donations to the Medfield Council on Aging, 1 Ice House Road, Medfield, MA 02052 would be appreciated. Checks should be made out to FOSI (Friends of Medfield Seniors, Inc.)
