Leokadia Pozniak, a lifelong resident of Dorchester, died peacefully September 23, 2019 at Newton-Wellesley Alzhimer’s Center in Wellesley, Massachusetts. She was 87. Leokadia was born October 9, 1931 in Poland and moved to Dorchester, Ma shortly after. She was the daughter of Jan  and Adolfini (Bosa) Pozniak. In Leokadia’s younger years she worked at Crown Laundry, and in her free time she was a avid bird watcher who greatly enjoyed feeding them. Leokadia was predeceased by her brother Edward Pozniak and sister Maria Husak. She was the dear aunt of Diane Vacher, Barbara Pozniak, Edward Pozniak, Irene Cavalini, Sandy Husak, Joseph Husak, and John Husak. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Folsom Funeral Home, 63 Belgrade Ave., Roslindale, Massachusetts  on Tuesday October 1, 2019 from 9:30 – 10:30 am and proceed to her funeral mass at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 655 Dorchester Ave., Boston, Ma at 11 o clock. Interment will follow at New Calvary Cemetery 800 Harvard St., Mattapan, MA
