Rovena Caroline (Nourse) Cistoldi, a resident of Hyde Park, died Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the Inn at Silver Lake in Kingston after a long illness. She was 92. Rovena was born February 24, 1927 in Boston, Massachusetts, the only daughter of William Henry and Elonia Margaret (Ross) Nourse. Rovena graduated from Hyde Park High School and started her working career with the New Haven Railroad before moving to the Moore-McCormack Cruise Line where she travelled extensively. She then worked as a waitress for The Engineer’s Club of Boston before working as a certified nursing assistant at the Boston Home in Boston. She was a member of Christ Church in Hyde Park where she served on the Altar Guild for 65 years. Rovena was also a member of the Hyde Park Historical Society and the Friends of the Hyde Park library. She enjoyed reading, travelling, and was a patron of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Rovena was the wife of the late Francis Cistoldi, and the sister of the late George Ross Nourse. She is survived by her nephews, William Nourse of Marshfield and David Nourse of Pembroke; and her nieces, Carolyn Bosso of Georgetown, Maine, and Janet Clark of Wells, Maine. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 59 Court Street, Dedham, Ma followed by interment in Brookdale Cemetery in Dedham.
