Cicchetti, Carlo C.
Carlo Charles Cicchetti, a lifelong resident of Dedham, passed away in Norwood on Monday November 12, 2018 at the age of 97. Carlo was the son of the late Frank and Cecilia (Scarcella) Cicchetti and was the twin brother of Albert A. Cicchetti. He grew up in Dedham and attended Dedham Public Schools. At the age of 21, Carlo enlisted in the Coast Guard. He served during WWII for two years and ten months until being honorably discharged in October of 1945 with the rank of Seaman First Class. Carlo worked for the Dedham Public schools as a custodian and enjoyed candlepin bowling at the bowling alley’s in both Norwood and West Roxbury as well as golfing at the Norfolk Golf Club in Westwood. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 18 in Dedham, as well as a Member of the Norwood Elks. Carlo was the devoted husband of the late Margaret (McCleod) Cicchetti. He was the loving brother of Albert A. Cicchetti and Florence Heeder, both of Dedham and the late Helen DiMartino, Lena DiMartino, Rose Torchetti, Joseph , Lawrence and William Cicchetti. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Carlo was known by his family and friends as being very generous and fun loving. His family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to Leslie and Jennifer for their care and dedication. Visitation will be held on Monday November 19, 2018 from 4-7 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton St., Dedham. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Tuesday at 11 AM at the funeral home, followed by interment at Brookdale Cemetery
