Marie We will all miss you dearly. you were a true friend.
I so enjoyed your Mom as a young boy. There are a lot of fun memories of playing at your house. However, on the day of JFK’s funeral David and I were playing stickball in the backyard. She told us that wasn’t respectful and had us come in the house to watch the sad procession on television. I’m grateful to her for that. Best wishes to all of you. It was a life well lived.
I am sad to hear of your mothers death. She will always be part of my memories of Greenacre Rd.
Deepest sympathy for your loss.
A friend since 1954–backyard corners met–the years pass by, and memories grow. I’ll not forget those years of friendship. Love and sympathy to Perry, Jane, and David and their families.
Many memories of your Mom — growing up in Westwood, racing through everyone’s backyards, and in later years visiting your Mom on our annual treks to New England. She was a lovely person, inside and out. Deepest sympathy to Perry, Janie, and David.
Growing up in our neighborhood provided many special memories. Your mother was always a kind and gracious woman. She loved family and lived a long life enjoying all. Sending our best thoughts. Wishing you all well.
Thoughts and prayers for David, Janie, and Perry. I will always have fond memories of growing up in the “Greenacre Road neighborhood” and all the families who lived there. I am very grateful for the friendship between my mother and your mother and the rest of the “Daffydills”. After moving to Florida, my mother loved e-mailing your mother and “catching up” on all the news. I hope you are all doing well.
