Hoban, Gary Edward
Gary E. Hoban, a lifelong resident of Dedham, died suddenly at his home on Friday. He was 51. Gary was born in Boston and attended Dedham High School. He served in the United States Navy and worked as an auto mechanic for Bill & Mike’s Automotive on East St. in Dedham for over 18 years. Prior to that he also worked for Fontaine’s Towing Company for many years. He is survived by his mother Helen T. (Willett) Hoban of Dedham; his brothers and sisters, Laurie A. Shea and her husband Jim of Norwood, Michael T. Hoban of Newton, Kelly M Stoebel and her husband Jeff of Norwood , and Vinny Hoban and his wife Elaine of Dedham. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was the brother of the late Paul F. Hoban. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours Wednesday, 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 AM at the funeral home. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Southeastern Mass Motorcycle Survivors Fund, P.O. Box 278, No. Carver, MA 02355.
I grew up with Gary since the fourth grade and went to school with him for many years. My deepest sympathy goes out to Gary’s family and friends. I will remember him as I knew him.

I had the greatest pleasure working with Gary at Bill & Mike’s Auto. He was the smile of my day and as genuine as a flawless stone. My sincere and deepest sympathy extends to his family and friends, especially Ralph that not only worked sided by side with him each day but was his true friend.
