Eleanor (Dineen) Chronopoulos, a resident of Dedham, passed away on July 24, 2018.  Born in Somerville, Massachusetts on January 13, 1937. She was the beloved wife of Chronis K. Chronopoulos and the mother of Konstantinos Chronopoulos and Maria C. Swift, also of Dedham.  She was the sister of Michael Dineen of Arizona, Janice Paiten of Dorchester and the late Daniel Dineen.  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  Eleanor was a proud Biston College Nursing alum. She enjoyed music by Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole, and all the good oldies. She was proud of her Irish ancestry. She was a very loving wife and mother to her children, Konstantinos and Maria. She and her daughter Maria shared a very special bond , Maria considered her Mom to be her best friend. Eleanor loved flowers, her favorite being lilies

Visiting hours on Thursday, July 26 from 5 to 8 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 63 Belgrade Ave., Roslindale, MA .  Funeral from the funeral home on Friday at 9AM followed by a funeral service at 10AM in the St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church, 39 Belgrade Ave., Roslindale.  Burial in The Gardens at Gethsemane Cemetery, West Roxbury, MA.  Donations in her memory may be made to St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church at address listed above.
