Biscoe, John R.
John Robert Biscoe, a longtime resident of Dedham died Monday, January 1, 2018 at his home in Dedham. He was 88. John was born July 20, 1929 in Boston, Massachusetts, a son of Harold A. and Estelle M. (Gilmore) Biscoe. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1950 and served in the 6571st Armament Test Group until his honorable discharge in 1954. John worked as an offset pressman for Spaulding Company in Boston until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of the Dedham Retired Men’s Club. John is survived by his wife, Evelyn Catherine (Tuohy) Biscoe; his son, Paul J. Biscoe of North Brookfield; his four daughters, Gail J. Keller of Norwood, Linda M. Fitzgerald of Franklin, Karen M. Biscoe of Whitman; and Katherine J. Biscoe of Dedham; his seven grandchildren, Eric McInnis, Michael Connelly, John P. Fitzgerald, Kathleen Fitzgerald, Sarah Fitzgerald, Quinn DuFour, and Benjamin DuFour; and his great grandson, Camden McInnis. He was the father of the late John R. Biscoe, and the brother of the late Allen, Harold, Henry, Gerald, Howard, and Marion Biscoe. Visiting hours will be held Friday, January 5th from 4 to 7 pm at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton St, Dedham. Relatives and friends will gather at the funeral home Saturday stating at 9 o clock and proceed to St. Mary’s Church, 420 High Street, Dedham for his Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. Private burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery in Boston. Donations to St Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis TN, 38105 would be appreciated.
