Marsoobian, Joseph Jr.
Joseph Marsoobian Jr, a resident of Weymouth for the past two years, and formerly a longtime resident of Wilmington, died Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. He was 69. Joseph was born November 6, 1948 in Boston, Massachusetts the son of Virginia (Consolian) and Joseph Marsoobian Sr. He served in the Army Reserves and worked as a mechanical engineer in the nuclear power industry, and then as a credit manager for the Boston Pipe Company in Somerville until his retirement two years ago. He was also a member of the Weymouth-Braintree Lodge of the BPOE and was a trustee in the condo association where he resided. Joseph is survived by his wife, Janet M. (Murphy) Marsoobian; his two sons, Joseph Marsoobian III, and his wife Jennifer, of Marshfield, and Doug Marsoobian, and his wife Lisa, of Wilmington; as well as his two grandchildren, Luke and Raegan Marsoobian. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, January 2nd from 6 to 8 pm at he Folsom Funeral Home, 63 Belgrade Avenue, Roslindale. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Wednesday, January 3rd at 10:30 m at the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701 would be appreciated.
