Patty “Panagiota” Sarhanis formerly of 30 Ivory St, West Roxbury, passed peacefully at Webster at Rye, in Rye New Hampshire on November 11, 2017. She was born in Kiato Corinth, Greece on Sept.14, 1923, the daughter of Yianni and Eleni (Mataxas) Karavoulis. Patty immigrated to the United States, arriving at Ellis Island and settling in Boston in 1950 to work in the garment industry. The proudest day of her life was to become a U. S. Citizen. She became a well known seamstress in the Boston community for over 50 years. She loved her customers and they loved her.  She is survived by her son, Christos C. Sarhanis and his wife, Debra of Exeter; beloved granddaughters Kathryn and Alie; and neice, Helen Provos. Patty was predeceased by her nephew Alex Provo; sisters, Rodopi, Koula, and Maria; and her brother Constantinos. Funeral service will be held at St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church, 39 Belgrade Avenue in Roslindale on Wednesday at 11:00 am followed by interment in Mount Hope Cemetery in Boston.
