Ernest Gordon Converse, a resident of Dedham, died Tuesday May 9, 2017 at his home in Dedham. He was 72. Ernie was born March 14, 1945 in Dedham, Massachusetts, the son of Robert and Helen (Frizzell) Converse. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam era. Ernie worked as the Facilities Manager for the Beverly Athletic Club, and was a devoted Nascar fan. He was the beloved husband of Nardine (Radosta) Bellew and former husband of Corrinne (MacDonald) Converse, and the dear father of Tammy Brooks, and her husband Paul, of N. Attleboro, Donna Converse of Dedham, Rennie Repetto, and her husband Fred, of Dedham, Andrea O’Connell, and her husband Bob, of Dedham, and Michael Bellew of Port Orang, FL. Ernie was the loving son of Helen Converse of Stoughton, and the late Robert Converseand the dear brother of Roger of Dennis, Wayne of Stoughton, Robert of Mansfield, Eugene of Spring Hill, FL, Janice Frazier of Summerton, SC, Gail Miscioscia of Oceanside, CA and the late Helen Converse. He was the proud grandfather of Jordan, Meghan, Michael, Grace, Joseph, Madison, Marissa, and Bobby, and is also survived by his brother-in-law Rick Radosta of Dedham. Visiting hours will be held Friday, May 12th from 4-8 pm at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton St., Dedham. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Saturday at 10 am at the funeral home followed by interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
