Xenos, Rose
Rose (Korakas) Xenos of West Roxbury, passed away on March 7, 2017, the day before her 88th birthday. Born in Greece, on the Island of Lesbos, she was the daughter of Christos and Falia Korakas. As a single women she immigrated to the United States to Ellis Island. Rose is the reason her family is here today. She loved to cook, was a wonderful baker and also owned a restaurant for many years. She enjoyed telling her family stories of their heritage. They will always cherish her memory and will surely miss her stories.
Rose was the beloved wife of Spiros Xenos. They were married for 55 years. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2017 from 6 to 8PM at St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church, 39 Belgrade Ave., Roslindale. Her funeral service will be on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 10AM followed by interment in Forest Hills Cemetery.
