We send our sincere sympathy on the passing of your mother, Helen. Both your parents were highly regarded and beloved members of the community. We regret that we cannot be with you at this time since we are out of the country.

Today I thought of “Uncle Johnny” on the six-year anniversary of his passing and did not know of “Auntie Helen” passing. My mother and I were speaking fondly of them both—they were such special people. We know that they are enjoying bourbon and gin and tonics with my father, Tulio. With much love.
