Chamberlain, Margaret L.

Margaret Lena (Alber) Chamberlain, a lifelong resident of Dedham, died Tuesday, June 9th, 2009 at the Ellis Nursing Home in Norwood.  She was 99.  Peg was born April 24, 1910 in Roslindale, Massachusetts.  She was the last surviving child of the 9 children born to Ernest J. Margaret Anna (Fraas) Alber.  She attended Dedham Public Schools, and graduated from the High School of Practical Arts in Boston.  She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Dedham where she also belonged to the Ladies Aide Society, and she was a volunteer at Caritas Norwood Hospital.  Margaret was the wife of the late Paul R. Chamberlain, and the mother of the late Bruce R. Chamberlain.  She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn A. May of Norwood; 12 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, as well as her daughter-in-law Geraldine Chamberlain of West Yarmouth.   Visiting hours will be held Monday, June 15th from 4-8 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Tuesday at 10 AM at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 950 East Street, Dedham with the Reverend James Butler officiating.  Burial will follow in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.  In lieu of flowers donations to the Memorial Fund of St. Luke Lutheran Church, 950 East Street, Dedham, MA 02026 would be appreciated.

    Helen and I are so sorry to hear about Peg. She was a wonderful person. We enjoyed talking to Peg at all the family parties. She will be missed. We will keep Peg and you in our prayers.
