Ruth Heerde, was longtime resident of West Roxbury, and Hull, and a recent resident of River Bay Club, Quincy, MA. Ruth was the beloved aunt of Bud Heerde, and his wife Betsy, of New Rochelle, New York, Nancy Brockman, and her husband Richard, of Burlington, MA,  Janet Ferguson of Manomet, MA, Barbara Trezzi, and her husband Charles, of Milford, MA, Jack Shea, and his wife Ann, of Weymouth, MA,  Paula Shea of West Roxbury, MA, Susan McGilivray, and her husband Stu, of Maine, and Rick Heerde, and Stephen Heerde.  She is also survived by 17 grandnieces and grandnephews, and 12 great grandnieces and great grandnephews.  Ruth graduated from teachers college where she was a member of a select group called the PCTC’s.  She was a lifelong teacher in the city of Boston.  Most of her time teaching was spent at the Lowell Mason School, the last four room schoolhouse in the city.  She was also a supervisor for the city.  Ruth spent many years volunteering as a Doric Dame at the State House and also was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma.  Ruthie was born in Hull in the family home and happily spent every summer of her life there with family and friends.  She will be sadly missed.
