Burke, Andrew M.
Andrew was a kind soul who appreciated the simple things in life. His concern and compassion for others was admired by all who knew and loved him, and his ability to persevere through life’s challenges was remarkable. Andrew was a graduate of Westwood High School and Boston College, and a proud Eagle Scout of Troop 1 Islington. He was an avid fan of the New England Patriots, and enjoyed playing baseball, fishing, golfing, and skateboarding in his younger years.
Andrew’s love for his family was unwavering and beyond measure. He is survived by his maternal grandparents, Ernest and Vendla Margeson, his paternal grandparents, Alice Burke and Paul and Charlotte Burke, his godmother, Lisa Vigliano, his godfather, Walter Burke, his cousin and friend, Sean Sullivan, along with many other loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Andrew will be missed terribly by his faithful canine companion, Buddy.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, August 12th, from 4-7 pm at Folsom Funeral Home, located at 649 High Street in Westwood. A mass to celebrate Andrew’s life will be held on Saturday, August 13th at 9 am at Saint Ignatius Church at Boston College, located at 28 Commonwealth Avenue in Chestnut Hill.
