O’Brien, Lynne Marie
Lynne Marie O’Brien, a lifelong resident of Dedham, died Saturday, August 15th, at her home. She was 52. Lynne was born Jan 30, 1963 in Norwood, Massachusetts, the only daughter of James E. and Jean M. (Friend) O’Brien. She graduated from Dedham High School and studied photography at Unity College in Unity, Maine before earning her degree in the culinary arts from Johnson & Wales in Providence, Rhode Island. She worked at various times for Whole Foods, Dedham Cablevision, Golden Living Center, and most recently as a cashier for Dunkin Donuts in East Dedham. Lynne is survived by her two brothers, Gary A. O’Brien of Dedham, and James E, “Jay” O’Brien, and his wife Laura, of Dedham; her niece, Mairead O’Brien of Dedham; and her aunt and uncle, John and Elinor Fontaine, of Maine. Visiting hours will be held Friday from 6 to 8 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton St, Dedham followed by a Service in the funeral home at 8 o clock. Private interment will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham. Donations to the Animal Rescue League, 10 Chandler Street, Boston, MA 02116 would be appreciated.
My thoughts are with you in this sudden loss. Lynne was always gracious, giving and kind. I remember the road trip to Unity, that was the epitome of “Are we there yet?!”

Lynne rest in peace. You will be missed.
I am shocked and saddened to have just learned of Lynne’s passing. Our time at Unity College gave me many fun and happy memories, and a bond of friendship that will always remain even though we have not see each other in years. My thoughts and condolences go out to her family and friends and those that enjoyed her kindness and good humor over the years. Thinking of you and remembering Lynne’s joyful spirit.
I AM SO SORRY TO HEAR OF THE LOSS LYNNE. I DID NOT KNOW HER BUT SPENT SO MUCH TIME WITH HER AUNT ELINOR GROWING UP. JEAN WAS ALWAYS NEAR AS I SPENT ALOT OF TIME AT THEIR HOUSE ON EMMETT AVE. THEIR MOM AND DAD WERE ALWAYS SO NICE TO ME AND ALWAYS MADE ME FEEL WELCOME THERE. I VISIT BROOKDALE CEMETERY OFTEN AS MY BROTHER HERB AND HIS WIFE ARE BURIED ALONG SIDE OF MR.AND MRS.FRIEND. PLEASE SEND MY CONDOLENCES TO ELINOR AND ALL OF YOUR FAMILY.
