Albert, Lois J.
Lois Jean Albert, a resident of Roslindale for more than 60 years, passed away on July 27, 2015 at the age of 78 after a courageous battle against cancer. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late PFC Raymond L. and Elizabeth (Kenfield) Cassidy. She was a graduate of Roslindale High School, Class of 1954. She worked in the Neurology Department of the Tufts Medical Center for 32 years. Lois was a cat enthusiast who enjoyed spending her free time being involved in the Cat Fanciers Federation (CFF). She was also a talented knitter and an avid reader. Lois is survived by her brother Col. Glenn O. Cassidy, USA (Ret.) of Fairfax, VA and was predeceased by her siblings Lawrence S. and Raymond P. She was the wife of the late Phillip A. and was the mother of Laurie McClure, of Tucson,AZ, Bette Reilly of Norwood, Patricia Anastasia of Hyannis, Penny Douphinette of Auburn, ME, Phil Albert of Norwood, David Albert of Jacksonville,FL, Deb Pantages of Attleboro and Linda Evans of Plainville. She was the grandmother of Ian, Eric, Ryan, Beth, Patrick, Michael, Jennifer, Catherine, Rocky, Toni, Ben, Alex, Nicholas, Aidan, Brenna, Camdyn and Raymond and 5 great grandchildren.
Services will be private and interment will be at a later date in the National Cemetery at Bourne. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Cam Neely Foundation for Cancer Research, 30 Winter Street, 2nd Floor, Boston, MA 02108.

I grew up with the Albert family and I remember watching tv game shows with Lois always getting the answers correct and thinking Wow! She should go on these shows and be rich.Just something funny I thought to share in this time of grief.
Laurie is a very dear friend of ours and we would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to the whole family.

I have trained with Lois in the judging program CFF. She was a friend before that and will be missed. We have all in CFF lost a great friend. The cats will miss her also.

My heart goes out to you with this great loss. I’m not sure it gets much more lonely than loosing your mother. At least there’s some comfort in knowing that she is flying free now. Hugs!
