Sheehan, Doris M.
Doris M. Sheehan of Hyde Park and formerly of Roslindale passed away on May 27, 2015 at the age of 89. Born In Clinton, MA, she was the daughter of Llewellyn P.M. and Alta P. (Strang) Johnson. Doris was a secretary for many years for the Boston Public Schools and also worked as a medical secretary in Boston. As a member of the Roslindale Congregational Church, she enjoyed singing in the choir. While a resident at Blake Estates in Hyde Park, she was very active volunteering in many of their activities and events. Going to the beach and spending time with her family were her most favorite activities. Doris is survived by her sister Pearl W. Johnson of Roslindale,and was predeceased by her siblings David B. Johnson, Robert A. Johnson, Harold P. Johnson, Curtis Johnson, Edith O. Carroll, Phyllis H. Gillis, L. Isabel Smith, Estella E. Smith and Arlene F. Johnson. She was the loving mother of John Sheehan and his wife Marie; the dear grandmother of Thomas Sheehan and his fiancée Patricia, Jennifer Walsh and her husband Shawn, all of Plymouth; and the great grandmother of Patrick Sheehan, Brianna and Matthew Walsh. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2015 from 4 to 8 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 63 Belgrade Avenue, Roslindale. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Monday, June 1, 2015 at 10 AM at the funeral home followed by interment in Eastwood Cemetery, Lancaster, MA
Auntie Dottie, you were a wonderful caring person and you will be sorely missed.
Will miss you and will remember our lunch excursions with my mom. Also many many memories up “THE HOUSE” at Christmas and other holidays! No doubt a member of a Choir of Angels in heaven!
Aunt Dottie was awesome!!!! I will never forget going to the cottage with her and my cousin John. Dottie had me cleaning so much that when I got home I turned into a clean freak. I drove my mom crazy not to mension everyone else in the house. Thanks aunt Dottie!!!!!! I have so many memories that it would take forever to list them all. Love you forever!!!!! Say hello to my Mom when you get to heven
