Cyr, Richard
Richard Joseph Cyr, of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, died unexpectedly April 27, 2009 at his home in Pawtucket. He was 59. Richard was born July 13, 1949 in Boston, Massachusetts, a son of the late Joseph P. and Helen E. (Erickson) Cyr. He graduated from Dedham High School with the Class of 1967 and served in the US Navy during the Vietnam era. He worked as a seaman in the Merchant Marine. Richard is survived by two brothers, John P. Cyr of Boxboro, and Joseph P. Cyr of Sharon; two sister, Jeanne M. Caparell of North Attleboro, and Donna I. Bonito of Dedham; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service Tuesday at 1 PM at Brookdale Cemetery in Dedham. In lieu of flowers donations to the New England Shelter for Homeless Veterans, 17 Court Street, Boston, MA 02108 would be appreciated.

Rick was a warm & gentle soul. I will always remember him fondly. May he rest in peace.

Dick was one of my best friends in junior high school and every time I see the movie “Stand by me” , I think fondly of the good times I had with Rick, Al, and Stomper. My Best childhood memories.
