Saniuk, Ruth M.
Ruth Marie (MacMillan) Saniuk, a Dedham resident of 30 years, died Friday, January 16, 2015 at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital . She was 57. Ruth was born April 26, 1957 in South Boston, Massachusetts, a daughter of Joe and Lorraine (Nee) Georgian. She grew up in South Boston and graduated from South Boston High School with the class of 1975. Ruth retired in 2010 as a secretary in the Law Office of Attorney Steven Rines. She was an active parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in Dedham and was instrumental in helping to establish the Life Teen program at St. Mary’s Church. Ruth is survived by her husband, Joseph P. Saniuk; her three daughters, Tina Perez, and her husband Eduardo, of Hudson, New Hampshire, Michelle Mathurin, and her husband Chris, of Sturbridge, and Lorianne Saniuk, of Eliot, Maine; her two brothers, Michael MacMillan of South Boston, and Joseph MacMillan of Boston; her two sisters, Eileen LaRosee of Quincy, and Patricia MacMillan of Brockton; and her four grandchildren, Hailey, Nathan, Evan, and Kyle. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, January 20, 2015 from 4 to 8 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 MIlton Street, Dedham. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home Wednesday at 8 AM and proceed to St. Anne’s Church, 82 West Milton Street, Readville for her Mass of Christian Burial at 9 o clock. Interment will follow in Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree. In lieu of flowers donations in Ruth’s memory to St. Mary’s LifeTeen, c/o St. Mary’s Church, 420 High Street, Dedham, MA 02026 would be appreciated.
