Hann, Dorothy A.
Dorothy Ann (Grant) Hann, a longtime resident of Hyde Park, died Sunday, December 28th at the Ellis Nursing Home in Norwood. She was 89. Dorothy was born January 30, 1925 in Boston, Massachusetts, the only daughter of Russell and Florence (Kingston) Grant. She graduated from Hyde Park High School and worked as a welder at the Quincy Shipyard during World War Two. Dorothy was the wife of the late Joseph Thomas Hann, and the sister of the late Russell, Paul, Leroy, James, Bob, George, Richard and Roger Grant. She is survived by her three daughters, Patricia Mudge, and her husband Stephen, Kathleen Hann-Leahy, and Deborah Hann, all of Georgia; her five adoring and loving grandchildren, Stephen Mudge Jr., John Leahy, Kerrie Leahy, Kaysea Hann, and Joseph Murphy; her four loving great grandchildren, Alexis Wright, Daniel O’Reilly, Khloe Rose Mudge, and Kaylee Leahy; and her nephew, Jason Grant of Dedham. Visiting hours will be held Sunday, January 4th from 4 to 8 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham. Relative and friends are invited to attend her funersl Monday, January 5th at 9 AM at the Funberal Home followed by burial in the National Cemetery in Bourne at 11:15 AM. In lieu of flowers donations to the Wounded Warrier Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675 would be appreciated.
Mom, you are finally at peace…no more worries, no more pain. Please give dad kisses and hugs for me and say hello to everyone else! You will be missed by many but you will never be forgotten. So it’s not good-by but so long till we meet again. Love you!
p.s. I hear St. Peter does a pretty good job up there so don’t go trying to change things! Go have fun like a kid.
