Graham, Gary D.
Gary David Graham, 56, of Dedham, passed at Faulkner Hospital Monday morning, Nov 17th. Born Jan 23, 1958, he was the son of the late Catherine MacNeil of Troy, Nova Scotia and Angus Graham of Judique, Nova Scotia. Gary was a skilled carpenter and a member of union Local 33. His love of books would change the topic of the day from politics to astrology to economics, and an opinion on the matter was always welcome. As was his trade, his life was a labor of love. Putting his heart into the project and requesting little in return. His impressions on those who knew him and the buildings he created can be seen in abundance from Alberta to Boston to his ancestral Cape Breton Island. With the Island in his heart, water was his comfort. Comfort he would find sitting on a bench at his beloved Jamaica Pond, or swimming the many shores along Cape Breton. He enjoyed a cold beer at Doyles or in the Man Cave, but nothing made him more happy than to be surrounded by family and friends with music and laughter. And as we were to him, he was to us. The frame is the easy part of any structure, it’s the fine details that catch a person’s eye …the accents the craftsman leaves behind. Your work here is done, we will forever cherish it’s beauty. Gary is survived by his companion Hailey Tran; his son Robert McCormack; his sister Gwen Smith {Blair Smith}; his brother Dale Graham {Betsi Kirwan}; and his nieces and nephews, Chanda, Eradin, Mason, Olivia, and Abigail; and so many cherished cousins and friends. Visiting hours will be held Fri from 6-8 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton St., Dedham. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Mass Sat at 11 AM at St. Anne’s Church, 82 W. Milton St., Readville. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations to UNICEF would be appreciated.
Gary will be forever in our hearts.
I will never remember you are gone, I don’t have to because you will always be here in my heart…
All who are a part of him your loss is vast. May you find comfort in the echo of his voice the vision of his smile and the thoughts of him and his laughter together with the warmth of his love. RIP

There are only a few people you meet in life that you form a life long bond with, and Gary you are one of those people. Remember, we still had plans to do the Sam Adams Tour out of Doyle’s soon; you will still be there with us in spirit. We’re left in shock over this and already miss you terribly. For a tough guy you always had a big heart. We will grieve a long time. We’re glad we got to see you a couple of weeks ago and never thought it would be the last time. Life is so short. Rest in piece brother. You will be sorely missed. Our condolences to all of Gary’s family and friends
To Gary’s family who I know so well my deepest sympathy and condolences. He will always be remembered indeed very many stories we tell of adventures on the island include Gary. He was a good friend.

I wish I could be there to say good bye to you but just know that your in my heart forever and I will never forget you. Prayers go to all my family and our friends who knew him . We share the same loss. You left us way too early and just know that all that have left us before you are waiting with open arms ..
Gary, your early departure will definetly leave a void in the soul of your friends and family – you will be missed!!
RIP Brother….
So sorry for your loss. Sudden loss of such a young loved one is difficult. Gary was always so easy to talk with. He genuinely enjoyed people. He came quite a distance to my dad’s memorial to comfort my mom. This shows the type of character Gary displayed during his life. His passing has impacted so many. He will be missed. Bless his heart.
We grew up with the Grahams across the street from us. We have so many memories of him and his family. Some of the best people to get to know. Gary was so funny and oh so charming, all the ladies loved him! I wished I saw him more to hang out and have fun. Time is precious and we should cherish it. The Tully family sends their love to Hailey and the Graham family in their loss of such a great guy. He will be remembered by all and missed terribly.
Gary I hope you are having a beer with “the Big Guy” now. R.I.P
Chanda, we would like to extend our deepest sympathies to you and your family on the loss of your uncle, Gary. We certainly remember how highly you spoke of Gary many years ago while at university. Our thoughts are with you.

We are so sorry to hear of the loss of Gary. He was such a kind soul. He always made us laugh and was a very unique character indeed. We haven’t seen Gary for many years but it feels just like yesterday Gwen that we all partied in your kitchen. He will be greatly missed.

Just a note of condolence to Gary’s family. It’s a terrible and untimely loss of such a good and nice man.
Stanley I know that you’ll probably miss him most but “God must have some work he needs done up there and done right”, and Gary’s the man!.
