Apone, Margaret T.
Margaret Theresa Apone (Palie), passed away on April 14, 2014. She was born in Grey, PA on October 25, 1925 and was one of 12 children from Italian immigrant parents. The family relocated to Massachusetts in the 30’s to offer their children a better life. Margaret met her future husband Annunziato whom she married on July 4, 1951. They celebrated 60 years of wedded bliss until he died 3 years ago on April 14. During their marriage they enjoyed dancing, playing cards and traveling. This loving couple produced 5 wonderful children that were the center of Margaret’s life.
Margaret worked for 30 years as a caregiver at Judy’s Day Center in Dedham as well as at Green Gardens also in Dedham. Margaret loved cooking, crafting and playing with her grandchildren, and neighborhood children. She will be sadly missed by many, but especially her children; Karen LaFrance and her husband Chris of Dedham, David Apone and his wife Judy of Sagamore Beach, Janice Hanrahan and her husband Dennis of Weymouth, Stephen Apone and his wife Ginny of North Bend, WA and Andrew Apone and his wife Joanne of Plymouth. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Rachel, Nathaniel and Nicholas Apone, Lisa Soukup, Christina and Sarah LaFrance, great grandchildren Enzo and Zeia Rampina, Landon Soukup, Stella Ciulla and her sisters Frances Fuoco and Natalie Gardner of Florida and Lillian Palie of Norwood and her brother Pasquale Palie also of Norwood. She was predeased by her siblings Jessie Colella, Julia Palie, Mateo Palie, John Palie Richard Palie and Florence Palie and her great grandson, Annunziato, her little angel.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 8AM from the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton St., Dedham followed by a funeral liturgy at 9AM at St. Mary’s Church, 420 High St., Dedham. Interment in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton. Visiting hours are on Wednesday from 4 to 8PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to The St. Vincent de Paul Society, 25 Avery St., Dedham, MA 02026.
