Galli, Frances A.
Frances Ann (Doherty) Galli, a Hyde Park resident since 1943, died Friday, February 7th at Marian Manor Nursing Home in South Boston. She was 99. Frances was born October 23, 1914 in Ireland, a daughter of Patrick and Maggie (Canny) Doherty. She was the beloved wife of the late Boniface J. Galli and the loving mother of Patricia Galli of Malden, Janet Sebago of Dedham, and the late John Galli, and his wife Andrea. Frances was the cherished grandmother of John Galli , and Jamie Roberts, and their daughter Tayla,of Revere; Amy Bell, and her husband Shane, and their children, Leah, Connor, Sean and Timothy; Michael Galli, and his wife Kristin, and their children, Jesse, Jillian, and John, of Revere; Allison MacDougall, and her husband Stephen, and their children, Ella, Sam and Matthew; and Jill Battersby, and her husband Kevin, and their children, Calvin and Zoe, of Rhode Island. She was the dear sister of Patrick Doherty of Manomet, John Doherty of Charlestown, Theresa Doherty of Charlestown, Helen Falk of Arizona, Jeanne Cleary of California, and the late Margaret Cloudman, Michael Doherty, Sarah Gorrie, and Mary Doherty. Frances worked for over 20 years as a saleswoman at WT Grant in Hyde Park. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with her family from 8 to 9 AM Saturday, February 15th at St. Susanna’s Church, 262 Needham Street, Dedham. Her Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9 AM. Private interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers donations to Marian Manor Nursing Home, 130 Dorchester Street, South Boston, MA 02127 would be appreciated.
Dear Janet, Jill, Amy and Allison, very sorry for your loss, but how fortunate you were to have your mother and grandmother for so long. That doesn’t make it any easier to say goodbye. May the peace of the Lord be with you at this difficult time. May she Rest in Peace.
